Canada’s Cacao 70 is opening its first international outlet
You know how seemingly every Asian dessert chain is suddenly opening a Canadian outpost? Well, now Canada is poised to reciprocate as Quebec-born “chocolate experience company” Cacao 70 expands with its first international location opening in Tianjin, China this spring.
The chocolate-centric brand – known across Canada for its Eateries, Sweet Houses, Dip Shops, and Chocolate Factory – is rapidly expanding. Already there are 20 restaurants operating within Canada and another 20 locations are expected to open by the end of the year.
According to a press release, the company now has its sights on “the United States and China as the next frontiers for expansion.”
“Our company has grown steadily and we have been looking at these international markets for a while so it seemed only natural to continue expanding,” says Cacao 70 Co-founder Yingzhi Wang. “We’re very excited to be opening in China this spring and to be growing the Cacao 70 brand on an international level.”
