Police alert pet owners after man finds bone with spike while walking his dog
Police in Burnaby are urging dog owners to be vigilant after a man found a bone with a spike inside of it while out for a walk with his dog.
According to Burnaby RCMP, the discovery was made in the 500 block of Frances Street.
“The dog picked up the bone which has a spike in it and thankfully was not harmed,” police said on Twitter.

They noted that this is the “only report” they’ve received of this happening, and are “asking anyone who knows how the bone got there to contact police.”

In the meantime, RCMP are reminding dog owners to “please continue to be vigilant & report anything suspicious such as this to police.”
