Intense rain on Thursday caused flooding in some parts of Burnaby that’s resulted in multiple road closures.
The City of Burnaby tweeted that several roads at the northeast end of Burnaby Lake Regional Park are closed to drivers because of flooding:
- Still Creek Drive between Eastbrook Parkway and Douglas Road
- Still Creek Avenue between Eastbrook Parkway and Douglas Road
- Westminster Avenue between Eastbrook Parkway and Douglas Road
- Regent Street between Eastbrook Parkway and Douglas Road
The Central Valley Greenway Trail is also closed because of flooding.

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver, including Burnaby, saying flash flooding is possible.
