Brunch in Vancouver: Two Chefs and a Table

Dec 19 2017, 2:25 pm

Two Chefs and a Table is a bistro in Gastown that serves brunches worth remembering. As the name states, there are two chefs that work in the open kitchen of this restaurant who work side-by-side to cook the best brunches with the best ingredients. Although a bit small, this restaurant provides a nice homestyle dining space that is welcoming to all. For a close-and-cozy meal with a small group, Two Chefs and a Table is a surely good place to have the anticipated weekend morning meal.

The fully open kitchen at Two Chefs is something which I admire a lot. Sitting at the bar, I was able to watch how every dish was cooked and assembled. It’s quite the entertainment for a food enthusiast!

The signature dish at Two Chefs is their Chicken ‘n Waffles. This Southern-style dish consists of a waffle and fried chicken covered in vanilla butter and syrup. It’s an odd combination, but it works out and tastes delicious in an unexpected way. This dish is rather hard to find around Vancouver, and this is the go-to place for it.

Traditional breakfast-goers can find much pleasure in the Big Lou’s Breakfast served here. It has eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and an in-house made sausage. The pancakes in particular are a delight because they are super soft and fluffy. Two Chefs surely proves that a classic meal can only be made even better with the freshest ingredients.

A tray of condiments is served with every dish here to make sure that every bite is as flavourful as it can be.

The Bourbon and Bacon is a speciality drink here that’s a Bloody Mary infused with bacon bourbon. It has a strong savoury taste that should be loved by anyone who loves bacon, which really should be everybody.

The Morning Mimosa here is a true morning cure. It’s orange juice for adults.

A brunch at Two Chefs and a Table is amongst the best that can be found in town. The good news is that they’ve also recently opened a second location in Richmond, so even more of us down south can indulge in their decadent meals. What’s even better is that Two Chefs offers tremendous catering services that are perfect for any big event; more about this can be found on their website. So during this coming long weekend, pay a visit to this bistro for a brunch that you won’t regret.
