Take a virtual ride on the Stanley Park Bright Nights Christmas Train (VIDEOS)

Dec 22 2020, 8:00 pm

While a number of popular holiday events have shuttered this season in compliance with provincial health orders, there is still some familiar fun to be had, albeit in a slightly different way.

Among these is the Bright Nights Christmas Train in Stanley Park, which, while not offering in-person rides, is inviting everyone to check it out online.

And while viewing the ride is, of course, free, those who enjoy the experience are asked to consider making an online donation to the BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund.

According to Bright Nights organizers, the annual holiday event is traditionally the Burn Fund’s largest source of fundraising, “so any generosity you can show will go a long way to help out burn survivors and their families.”

There are two ways to experience the attraction virtually this year. The first is a 360° experience shot from the perspective of a passenger on the train. Check it out below:

The second highlights all the sights and sounds that can be experienced on the ride and can be viewed below.
