Over 3,000 kilometres from their home stadium, throngs of Toronto Blue Jays fans turned T-Mobile Park in Seattle into a home away from home this weekend. Once again, Canadian baseball fans were loud and travelled en masse for their team’s annual road trip to Seattle.
Some Mariners fans were upset about their ballpark being overthrown by Canucks (Jeopardy alum Ken Jennings, for example), but the Blue Jays have dealt with the same thing in the past; having Red Sox and Yankees devotees snatching up tickets at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
One thing’s for sure;ย the Blue Jays fans were loud, and they were omnipresent for the three-game series. Many Blue Jays players obliged to take photos with Canadians who made the journey across the border, mostly from British Columbia and Alberta.
The Blue Jays lost two of three games to the Mariners, but both teams played some entertaining games, which kept the masses entertained. Judging by these photos on Instagram, the Jays’ Seattle outpost was proudly represented this past weekend.
