A smooth, chocolatey hazelnut spread has the power to turn a lacklustre breakfast or snack into a delightful experience. We’d be hard-pressed to think of another spread that can elevate food quite like a good slather of hazelnut.
Suffice to say, in our dream pantry, we’d be fully stocked with hazelnut spread at all times.
If you feel the same, we’ve got news for you: there’s a new spread in town. Kraft Hazelnut Spread is the food purveyor’s latest creation and a worthy rival to other hazelnut spreads on the market.
The breakfast staple is made with real, roasted hazelnuts and cocoa. But part of what gives it a real edge is what it doesn’t have: it’s made with no palm oil and is low in saturated fat.
But the real remaining question we had was, how does the taste measure up alongside other hazelnut spread options?
A debate over what constitutes the best hazelnut spread was immediately ignited, and to get to the bottom of things, we invited everyday people into our office to experience a blind taste test.
Watch the video above for the verdict – and a good laugh – or grab a jar of Kraft Hazelnut Spread at your local grocer and decide for yourself.
Better yet, if you’re up for the challenge, do your own at-home taste test and share your reaction online using the #KraftHazelnutChallenge and tagging @kraftpeanutbutter_ca on Instagram or @KraftPB on Twitter.
You’re likely already familiar with Kraft Hazelnut Spread’s iconic sibling, Kraft Peanut Butter. It’s been around for the last 60 years, after all.
But it’s safe to say this latest advent is a notable addition to the family. It has a rich, chocolatey taste and silky-smooth texture that will make you go (hazel)nuts. Just ask the folks above!
