Vancouver's beloved Bike Doctor repair shop to re-open March 5

Vancouver’s beloved Bike Doctor repair shop will soon be back in business after closing its doors in 2018.

Located at 137 West Broadway Street, Bike Doctor has always been known for its approachable and friendly service and “free air and oil” policy.

Former owner Pol Bogaert was known as an important member of the city’s cycling community and announced his retirement in 2018.

Bike Doctor staff were not ready to let the shop go and worked together to re-open the popular business at the same location.

“After 1 1/2 years of work …. We are proud to announce that with Pol’s blessing and support, we are re-opening the beloved Bike Doctor store to provide the same quality experience that the community had grown to expect,” said new owner, Erich Jurgens, in a statement.

Bike Doctor will have its grand re-opening celebration on March 5 featuring giveaways, gift bags, and food and drinks.

“Our staff has been hard at work recreating Pol’s original vision,” said Jurgens, “with just a few changes to make the business even better.”
