Best vegan pizza in Vancouver

Finding a delectable, dairy-free version of this classic Italian dish can be unsatisfying and disappointing. Although a homemade pizza is easy and delicious, having it delivered from your local pizzeria is just luxurious. No prep work or dishes to do, just melted, bubbly cheese on a crisp but bread-like crust with an array of toppings and dinner is done. Luckily, Vancouverites don’t have to settle for the ‘no cheese’ pizza. Some of the best vegan pizza in Vancouver is located right at your fingertips.

Hell Pizza

Two locations, Davie Street and Lonsdale Ave

Started in 1996 in New Zealand comes a pizza with a hellish attitude. Hell Pizza has unique toppings, quality cheese and cryptic names. The dough is perfection and the combinations are creative. Add or substitute daiya cheese on any vegetarian pizza to make it vegan. They also do a gluten free crust.

  • Pizza to order: Sinister (Refried beans, jalapeno, tomato, avocado, onions, salsa and green peppers)

Vegan Pizza House
Two locations, Kingsway and Marine Drive

All vegan. All awesome. The Vegan Pizza House is a fully vegan pizzeria that is cruelty free and delicious. They offer a huge selection of faux meats, veggies and daiya dairy free cheese. The pseudo-ham has a smoky undertone that adds great flavour to the All Dress pizza.

  • Pizza to order: Cook special (Vegan chicken, mushrooms, green peppers and daiya)

Famoso
Multiple locations

Famoso is a casual Neapolitan pizzeria that has quality ingredients, authentic techniques and a great atmosphere.  The toppings are reminiscent of Italy and even a little bit fancy (they have white truffle oil!). Add or substitute daiya cheese to make them vegan.

  • Pizza to order: Funghi tartufo (Roasted white mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, white truffle oil and parmesan reggiano) – Substitute daiya

Rebellious Pizza
Two locations, Denman Street and Lonsdale Ave

Rebellious Pizza is gourmet pizza with an attitude. They use organic ingredients where possible and have whole wheat, whole grain and gluten free crusts that are chewy yet crisp. They have a good selection of vegetarian options and even carry daiya.

  • Pizza to order: Sweet inferno (Tomato sauce, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, red onion, pineapple, banana peppers and mozzarella).

Mainly Organics
861 Denman Street

Mainly Organics is a pizzeria known for great customer service, organic ingredients, and using quality cheese. They have homemade whole wheat, regular and a gluten free crust and they make a mean thin crust. They have a great vegetarian section and even have a vegan pizza on the menu.

  • Pizza to order: Vegan Supreme (Veggie pepperoni, organic green peppers, organic onions, organic tomato, organic mushrooms, tomato sauce, daiya cheese).

Pick up or order in, these spots will satisfy your craving, cure your hang over and feed your friends on a Canucks game night.

Eat better. Feel Better.
