Best pie in Vancouver

Dec 19 2017, 10:16 pm

There’s always room for a slice (or two) of pie, even after the biggest of holiday meals. Luckily Vancouver is full of great places for pie, so there is no shortage of sweet or savoury slivers or slabs to go around.

Whether you like your pie filled to bursting with fresh local berries, tangy and topped with meringue, or chocolate creamy, we’ve got plenty of pie, any way you slice it. Here are our picks for who’s serving up the best pie in Vancouver.

The Pie Hole

Vancouver first got to know Jenell Parsons and her delicious pies just a few years ago through the Make It Market and other local events. Though The Pie Hole doesn’t have a retail storefront you can order for pick up, or find their pies at a variety of places around town. Their savoury pie list includes the popular Bacon Cheeseburger Pie and Mac and Cheese Pie, and their sweet list has options like Maple French Toast Bacon Pie or their celebrated Fat Elvis, along with more traditional fruit and cream selections.

Address: 401 Industrial Avenue (Pick-up for pre-ordered pies only, not a retail location. See where you can find their pies here.)

Savary Island Pie Company

West Vancouver’s Savary Island Pie Company is to many the gold standard of local pie making. Richmond Country Farms (open April through December), sells Little Fruit’s frozen bake your own pies, and fresh baked pies every weekend from July 1 through Christmas.
