It’s almost time for Taste of Yaletown to kick off on October 11, and we’re drooling already.
The menus for this culinary celebration have been revealed – and we’ve decided to list the 3 best menus at each price point: $25, $35, and $45.

$25 (or less) Menus
DD Mau
This spot offers a killer $14 banh mi called the Singaporean Chilli Soft Shell Crab Banh Mi, and we love the sound of that. This dish consists of fried soft shell crab with Singaporean style chilli sauce, pickled red onions, and watercress all served in a fresh Vietnamese-style baguette.
XOXOLAT
What could be better than chocolate and booze? XOXOLAT will be offering a whiskey tasting paired with six chocolate treats for $25 during Taste of Yaletown. Reservations are recommended and can be made from 4 to 6 pm from Wednesday to Saturday.
Hapa Izakaya
This $25 tasting menu is one heck of a deal if you ask us. Enjoy a selection of dishes such as beef tataki, ahi tuna yukke, chicken nanban, crispy panko-fried scallop, hambagu steak, and aburi saba sushi to name a few. This three course menu gives your tons of selection and also bang for your buck.
$35 Menus
WildTale
WildTale’s $35 menu is a can’t miss. Expect a choice of Atlantic lobster bisque, baby beet and watercress salad or Alberta beef carpaccio to start, along with a selection of mains including a AAA California-cut New York and prawn brochette, a blackened steelhead trout, or a baked farmers market vegetarian lasagna. Enjoy a lemon and rum cheesecake for dessert on this menu.
Simply Thai
Simply Thai is offering a first course of the patron’s choice of the Simply Thai Taster Plate Starter or cho muang, while the second course offers tom yum goong soup, and the third course is a choice of massaman curry, pad thai, and gra paow, all served with jasmine rice. For dessert expect banana fritters with choice of mango, coconut, or vanilla ice cream.
Brix & Mortar
This neighbourhood haunt is offering a filling three-course menu during Taste of Yaletown. Their menu boasts selection of salads to start, and entrées including wild local salmon, Brome Lake duck breast, spinach risotto, and vanilla bean panna cotta to finish.
$45 Menus
Fayuca
This recently-opened North Pacific Mexican restaurant kills with its regular menu, so we expected nothing less than a stellar Taste of Yaletown menu too. Enjoy guacamole, crispy sunchokes, pumpkin seeds, and Macedonian feta or grilled cactus for a starter, flank steak or grilled cauliflower for a main, and flourless chocolate cake to finish.
House Special
House Special is offering something, well, special for Taste of Yaletown this year. Patrons can head here to enjoy a menu of mekong wonton, caramel pork jowl banh hoi, and cao lanh tenderloin, along with a persimmon panna cotta for the last course.
La Pentola
Cozy into the Italian eatery to enjoy a menu fit for a king. La Pentola’s Taste of Yaletown menu includes the diner’s choice of beets or duck and radicchio to start, linguine vongole, tagliatelle bolognese, or rigatoni for the second course, and grilled hanger steak, ling cod, or roasted squash and chestnut risotto for a main. Finished with a lemon cream and biscotti or flourless chocolate almond tort for dessert.
