It is finally summer which means u-pick fields across the Lower Mainland are open for another season of berries!

Whether you are a BC blueberry lover or prefer a plump juicy strawberry, you can pick your heart’s content at numerous farms.

Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery

After a day of picking strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries in Krause Berry Farms’ fields, kick back in their Estate Winery and enjoy a glass of their berry wine. Other berry filled treats like pies, smoothies, and fluffy waffles that come piled high with the berry of the day and whip cream can be found at their marketplace.

Maan Farms

Sprawled across 80 acres of land in Abbotsford is Maan Farms’ strawberry, raspberry and blueberry fields which open for u-pickers during berry season. Alongside the u-pick berry fields, you will find their Estate Winery and Family Fun zone that features an epic jumping pillow – adults are welcome too – and cute little baby goats in the petting zoo area.

Emma Lea Farms

Just off of Ladner on Westham Island is the picturesque berry farm, Emma Lea Farms. Their fields are brimming with berries that can be picked and enjoyed either on the farm or later at home. After a day in the sun, cool off with a berry sundae from Emma Lea’s Ice Cream Shoppe.

Driediger Farms Market

There are over 160 acres of strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries at Driediger Farms, all of which can be u-picked. Pails can be purchased for $1.50 for u-pick, but you are always welcome to bring your own from home. Not open for u-pick, but also grown on the farm and available for purchase are cherries and red currants.

At W & A Farms you will only find one type of berry. Their 30 acres of ruby red strawberries are bursting with flavour. Their juicy strawberries are available for a short period of time each year, so once they run out, that is it for the season!
