Vancouver Island and some of its cities have received lots of love from travel publications, and the BC region has just been given another shout-out regarding spring break.
Condé Nast Traveller, a luxury travel magazine for independent travellers, recently published a list of the top 2025 adult spring break destinations.
Vancouver Island was one of the 25 unranked destinations on that list. The BC gem is praised for its scenic nature, among many other reasons to visit and spend time here during spring break.

The theme of the Condé Nast Traveller list is to give adults a place to go that might be somewhat free of the college party crowd.
It rhetorically asks, “Why should college kids have all the fun?”
“While Cancun and Amsterdam were great in our partying college days, we’re more likely to seek fun-yet-refined trips at this stage in life,” it adds.
Regarding Vancouver Island, Condé Nast Traveller refers to it as a “scenic chunk of land with Victoria on its south and UNESCO-designated biosphere reserves stretching further north.”
It’s also called an excellent destination for anyone looking to “reset and recharge” before returning to work assignments for Q2.
“Even the most action-packed activities (backcountry hiking, whale watching, etc.) offer a rejuvenating new view of the world.”
Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is a specific spot on Vancouver Island that has received many awards, and the article says you should stay there if you’re visiting. Condé Nast Traveller says it’s like a “sleepaway camp for grown-ups” and that there are plenty of activities to keep guests busy. According to the travel site, it’s also a nice place to be pampered.
