BC Spot Prawn Festival is returning to Vancouver this spring.

This highly-anticipated fest will take place on May 19 at the False Creek Fishermen’s Wharf, located at 1505 W 1st Avenue.

The annual celebration of BC’s iconic local product, spot prawns, will have some new features this year.

Instead of the traditional boil, attendees can opt for a bowl of chowder served with Terra Bread for $10 per person.

People can buy their chowder tickets for a specific time slot, which means no more waiting in super long lines.

The following times will be available during the event:

  • 11 am to noon
  • noon to 1 pm
  • 1 to 2 pm
  • 2 to 3 pm

Another new addition to this year’s fest? Spot Prawn Festival Brunch. Tickets for this meal will be sold to correspond with two seating options, either 11:30 am to 1 pm, or 1:30 to 3 pm.

The brunch will offer ticketholders access to food stations and samples of beer, wine, and coffee, along with a sweet treat to finish.

This meal will feature six spot prawn dishes altogether.
