Paws for a Cause, the BC SPCA’s signature fundraising event, is returning to downtown Vancouver this September.

Taking place at David Lam Park, the fundraising walk-turned-celebration benefits local animals in the care of the BC SPCA at the Vancouver, Burnaby, West Vancouver, and Richmond Branches.

A one-kilometre walk is open to participants (both human and canine) of all ages and fills the False Creek Seawall with animal lovers alike.

In addition to the walk, the event will feature an afternoon filled with activities for both pets and owners.

The festival site will feature vendors, activities, BC SPCA booths, and interactive games for fun-loving canines.

A BBQ with SPCA-certified smokies will also take place, with options for vegan and vegetarian diets.

Guests will also be invited to a dog-friendly beer garden taken part from 12 to 3 pm, featuring craft beer from Yellow Dog Brewery.
