BC PEAK Performance Project Showcase Series kicks off September 24

Dec 20 2017, 1:34 am

The PEAK Performance Project is a program created to launch the careers of some of British Columbia and Alberta’s most talented up-and-coming musicians. The BC edition was originally launched in 2009 with the support of 102.7 FM The PEAK (Canada’s first AAA format station) and now, after seven life-changing years, is in its final run.

PEAK provides an immersive platform that educates, promotes, and develops the industry savvy of the artists while giving them a crash course in marketing, songwriting, and live performance. One of the highlights (and perhaps one of the most intense parts) of the project includes the week-long PEAK Performance Project Bootcamp, which took place this year at RockRidge Canyon Resort in Princeton, B.C.

The top 12 finalists from Alberta and B.C. joined forces to participate in workshops, seminars, and training, along with collaborations on original songs under the theme “Hello, Goodbye” which will be released in October.

The next (and very important) stage of the project is the four-week PEAK Performance Project Showcase Series. Starting on September 24, three of the Top 12 artists will perform live each week at Fortune Sound Club in a bid for the grande prize of $102,700. Second place will receive $75,000, and third place will receive $50,000. Each of the finalists receive $5000 to contribute to their career development. Tickets for the showcase series are available online.  Take a look at the schedule below and make sure to come out to support your favourites!
