BC Liquor Stores suspends bottle return at all locations

BC Liquor Stores has implemented some changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to cutting its hours down, BC Liquor Stores announced that starting today, March 19, all locations would be temporarily suspending the return of empty drink containers.

“We recognize the inconvenience and economic hardship this may cause some customers, however, the well-being of our employees remains our number one priority,” read the statement.

Starting today, all BC Liquor Stores will be open from 11 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday, and from 11 am to 6 pm Sundays (some stores may not be open Sundays, depending on the location).

With coronavirus on the rise, BC public health authorities are reminding individuals who attend events and large gatherings to monitor their health for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
