All BC Liquor Stores have reduced their operating hours

All BC Liquor Stores have reduced their operating hours due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting today, all BC Liquor Stores will be open from 11 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday, and from 11 am to 6 pm Sundays (some stores may not be open Sundays, depending on the location).

“In cases where stores closed earlier than the new closure time, they will continue to do so,” read the statement.

Patrons can look for signage that will be placed on store entranceways indicating adjusted hours.

“These changes will allow BC Liquor Store staff to complete additional store cleaning in the off hours, to minimize risk to our employees and customers, and help stem the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As you may know, increased volume of sales and customers has led to challenges in stocking and restocking shelves,” read the release.

“The reduced hours will allow staff to receive and safely stock product and ensure availability for customers as LDB has been experiencing staffing shortages as some staff self-isolate. There is no shortage of products at this time.”

With coronavirus on the rise, BC public health authorities are reminding individuals who attend events and large gatherings to monitor their health for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. And if you’re not feeling well, they recommend staying home at this time. Also, due to unexpected cancellations, please check the event you plan to attend is still taking place. Keep up with COVID-19 news here.
