BC Honda $1000 Giveaway!

Summer is here and we can all use a little extra cash. Well BC Honda is here to help as they are giving away $1000 to one lucky winner. Spend it however you want. There are great odds of winning and all you have to do is step into one of your local Honda Dealers.

With this contest BC Honda is asking the public to have a little fun and play the iconic summer road trip game, Eye Spy, with a social media twist. Entrants must find a beach ball hidden somewhere on the showroom floor at one of 14 local Honda dealership (see list below for all participating dealerships). If you’re having trouble, just ask a salesperson and they’ll help you out. Once you find it (it’s really not that difficult), take a photo with the beach ball and tweet it to @BCHonda. That’s all.

Contest Details:

A valid contest entry must:

1. Tweeted at @BCHonda

2. Include a photo of themselves (can be a solo shot or a group photo) with the beach ball to @BCHonda

If you’re looking for a generic tweet to use, here is a suggestion:

Rules and Regulations

No purchase necessary. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. All qualified contestants are eligible to win $1,000 cheque (Canadian funds) simply by entering the BC Honda Summer Twitter Contest. Must be a legal resident British Columbia, Canada and have reached the age of majority as of July 4, 2011 to enter.

Prizes: There is one (1) Grand Prize. The contest starts on July 4th, 2011 at 9:00:00 a.m. and closes on July 31st, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m.

The Grand Prize will consist of a $1,000 cheque (Canadian funds).made payable to the winner from the BC Honda Dealers Association;
The cheque will be made payable to the winner’s name that appears on a Government issued photo I.D.

Contest is only open to individuals residing in BC who have reached the age of majority, excluding employees and members of the immediate families of the BC Honda Dealers Association, their advertising agencies, individual participating dealers and employees and immediate families of Vancity Buzz. Odds of winning will depend on the number of valid entries received via Twitter.com.

A contestant can only enter this contest once per dealership (from the 14 Lower Mainland BC Honda dealerships participating).

A valid entry must include the following:

A photo within the tweet of the contestant holding the correct “Eye-Spy” beach ball from 1 of 14 Lower Mainland BC Honda dealerships;
A tag of BC Honda’s twitter account (@BCHonda) in the post;
An example of a valid entry is this tweet: “I played in @BCHonda’s Eye Spy game for a chance to win $1,000. [Insert Photo] #Honda1Kgiveaway”.

Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant will be required to:
Sign a declaration form confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of the Prize as offered;
Answer a skill-testing question.

The value of the prize is $1,000 CAD.
