As a storm in Metro Vancouver cancels BC Ferries sailings, its website is currently out of service.

Daily Hive Urbanized observed that the site was down at about 1 p.m. on Nov. 6. We have reached out to BC Ferries to get more information and will update this story when they respond.

In the meantime, BC Ferries’ schedules page and departures and arrivals pages remain up and running, so travellers can still find information if they have a sailing planned today.

The ferry service has also been active on its X account, posting alerts about cancelled sailings and responding to questions from users.

They cancelled several sailings this morning and early afternoon due to high winds and wave height.

Hullo Ferries has also had to cancel four of its five sailings today due to “gale force winds.”

“All affected bookings will be automatically refunded to the original method of payment. No action is required from guests,” reads the notice on Hullo Ferries website.

Currently, its 6 p.m. sailing is still set to sail.
