Two more people have died from coronavirus in BC, and 34 new cases have been identified in the province, health officials said on Thursday.
During a press conference, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said the total number of known cases in the province has reached 1,370 and the total number of deaths now sits at 50.
Broken down by health region, Henry said there are 626 cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 508 in Fraser Health, 82 on Vancouver Island, 130 in Interior Health, and 24 in Northern Health.

There are now 20 long-term care homes in the province with a patient or member of staff who have tested positive. Of BC’s total cases, 235 are associated with care homes or long-term care, with 143 residents, and 92 staff who have been infected.
And out of the total number of cases, 132 people are in hospital, with 68 of those in intensive care; 858 people have fully recovered and are out of isolation.
