JFL (Just for Laughs) Northwest, one of Vancouver’s most prominent comedy events, has just announced the first headliner of their 2019 festival.
Comedian, actor, writer, producer, and director, Aziz Ansari will be kicking off the annual festival at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in February 2019.
Ansari began his career in the beloved television series, NBC’s Parks and Recreation. He’s also appeared in a number of comedies, including This Is The End, Funny People, and Get Him To The Greek. Most recently, the comedy heavyweight starred, wrote, and directed the Netflix comedy, Master of None.
Off the screen, he’s performed in front of sold-out crowds at the Madison Square Garden and received a number of accolades for his work.
Ansari will be performing at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Friday, February 15, 2019, at 7 pm.
Tickets will go on sale online on Friday, November 30 at 12 pm, ranging from $45.50 to $89.50 (plus taxes and service charges). Attendees must be over the age of 19.
JFL NorthWest, which runs from February 14 to 23, will be unveiling the first wave of their 2019 Festival next week. Comedy fans can expect 10 straight days of stand-up, podcast, improv, sketch performances, and films.
