Christmas is weeks away, and when it comes to festive cocktails, we’ve got you covered.

Whether you’re hosting in your home, tasked with drinks for a potluck, or if you’ve joined the fun committee at work, the holidays are the perfect time to step it up when it comes to sparkly creations. And there’s no better way to impress your guests (and yourself) than by mixing up some bubbly cocktails.

Here are five festive bubbly cocktail recipes that will make your holidays one to remember, courtesy of Steller’s Jay Brut. As BC’s premier VQA sparkling wine brand, they know a thing or two about bubbles! (No previous mixology skills required.)

Sparkling Moscow Mule

Have you ever met anyone who didn’t like a Moscow Mule? We didn’t think so. Switch up this holiday with the sparkling touch of bubbles.

Ingredients (serves 1):

Combine non-bubbly chilled ingredients (lime juice, vodka and simple syrup) into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake it up! Strain into a cooper glass and top with ginger beer and Steller’s Jay Mountain Jay Brut.

Sparkling Shiraz Sangria

Yes, you can still have sangria in winter. And yes, there’s such thing as sparkling red wine (and it’s amazing). You’ll love the berry essence and crisp finish of this wintery cocktail.

Ingredients (for a pitcher):

  • 1 cup blended frozen berries
  • 2 cups of cut oranges, strawberries and blueberries
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 2 cups fruit juice or sparkling water
  • 1 bottle of Steller’s Jay Sparkling Shiraz

In a large pitcher, combine blended frozen berries, fruits, orange liqueur, fruit juice and Steller’s Jay Sparkling Shiraz. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate. Add the sparkling shiraz and serve on ice.

Cranberry Fizz

This festive cranberry cocktail will take your Christmas celebrations to the next level. It’s the perfect amount of sweetness and the coconut water is a welcomed addition.

Ingredients (serves 6):

Sugar the rims of your glasses. In a blender combine your frozen cranberries, honey and coconut water on high speed. Place cranberry sorbet in the bottom of chilled wine glass. Pour Steller’s Jay Mountain Jay Brut over top. Garnish with skewered cranberries coated in sugar.

Christmas Mimosa (aka Chrismosa)

Take everything you love about mimosas and add a festive twist. This one’s sure to be a crowd pleaser with Steller’s Jay Sparkling Rosé serving up fruity flavours. It’s the perfect morning cocktail to kick off a day full of holiday festivities and it’s super simple to make.

Ingredients (serves 1):

Combine pomegranate and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake it up. Strain into your flute glasses and top off with Steller’s Jay Sparkling Rosé.

The Grinch

Everyone has a Grinch in their lives, and we have the perfect way to fill their bellies with tropical bubbly goodness to take their mind off the holidays.

Ingredients (serves 1):

Combine melon liqueur, blue curacao and pineapple juice into a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a glass and top with bubbly.
