As part of its North American expansion, Aritzia will open a standalone Wilfred boutique at Pacific Centre in time for the holidays. Sources at Cadillac Fairview predict the opening date will be sometime around November 2015. Wilfred will take over the former Mexx retail space, located next to American Eagle and Pandora in the mall’s lower level.

The over 3,900-square-foot boutique will feature a feminine and airy loft-like design, with concrete floors, white marble, and raw steel balanced by antique brass, vintage furniture and potted plants. The store will also feature a curated art collection by local artists.

Currently, there is one other free-standing Wilfred boutique in Vancouver located on Robson Street. According to sources, Wilfred will be opening at Sherway Gardens, adding to two existing Toronto locations.

In the past year, Aritzia has quickly expanded its existing boutiques and added new ones across Canada, including major expansions at the Robson and West Edmonton Mall locations, as well as new stores in Montreal and Halifax.
