Air quality advisory lifted for Metro Vancouver

Dec 20 2017, 12:11 am

Metro Vancouver has lifted the air quality advisory that has been in effect since July 5. They issued a tweet saying air quality improved thanks to favourable wind conditions.

The Comox Valley currently has the worst air quality in the province, measuring an 8 on the air quality index.

Vancouver has been downgraded to a low risk, with measurements of just two or three.

Fine particulate matter in the air from over 200 forest fires burning throughout the province is the cause of the air quality warnings.
