UPDATE: These alerts were issued on November 18, and are no longer in place as of November 19, 2019.

Air Canada has issued travel alerts from Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, warning customers of potential travel disruptions due to bad weather.

“Flights may be impacted by rain, snow, and subsequent air traffic control restrictions,” states the 3-city alert. The airline says travellers who are affected by the alerts can make alternative flight arrangements without a penalty.

The alert, which is in effect throughout the day, may cause flight delays and/or cancellations at Montreal’s Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport, the Ottawa International Airport and both Toronto’s Pearson and Billy Bishop airports.

Prior to leaving for the airport, Air Canada is recommending that travellers check their Flight Status or call Air Canada’s automated flight information system at 1-888-422-7533.
