It’s now harder to get from Vancouver to Disney World

There is one less direct, non-stop route linking Vancouver with ‘The Most Magical Place On Earth’.

Air Canada has cancelled its flight between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) – just a 25 minute drive from Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.

The service launched last year as a twice weekly seasonal flight using the airline’s low-cost Air Canada Rouge airline and a 282-seat Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft.

According to Routes Online, there were originally plans to bring back the service this year using an Airbus A319, but the service has since been terminated.

Although Air Canada is no longer running this particular route, WestJet still plans to operate its seasonal service to MCO this year. And there are, of course, flight

As well, Air Canada has been rapidly expanding from Vancouver over the last few years. This year alone, it is adding new non-stop routes to Paris, Zurich, and Sacramento and increasing its frequency for existing routes to Melbourne, Delhi, and Hawaii.
