Abbotsford announces inaugural Sun & Soil Summer Concert Series

Jul 17 2020, 6:53 pm

Locally grown and prepared foods, estate wineries, breweries and cideries, and countryside locations will all be featured on select Friday evenings throughout the summer as part of a new concert series presented by Tourism Abbotsford.

Dubbed the Sun & Soil Summer Concert Series, the multi-week event is meant to support local artists, and highlight Abbotsford’s handmade and homegrown flavours at the same time.

“Abbotsford is filled with entrepreneurial and hard-working farmers and food producers who are dedicated to serving their community,” said Craig Nichols, Executive Director of Tourism Abbotsford. “It is also home to many talented musicians who encapsulate the authentic vibe of our region.”

The new Sun & Soil series, he said, “is the perfect opportunity to share music and food against the stunning Fraser Valley backdrop we live in. As Abbotsford is an agricultural hub, we are always eager to showcase our farm partners through our handmade & homegrown lens.”
