A 66-year-old Vancouver weather record has been broken. This morning at Vancouver International Airport, the temperature fell to -8.4 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of -7.8 degrees Celsius set on February 6, 1948.

Vancouverites aren’t the only ones experiencing frigid temperature. The entire country is under the spell of old man winter.

For Vancouverites, warmer weather is expected to return early next week.
