5 Vancouver neighbourhoods make list of Canada's 25 richest neighbourhoods

Five Metro Vancouver neighbourhoods have made it to Canadian Business magazine’s latest rankings of Canada’s wealthiest neighbourhoods.

The highest ranking non-Toronto area is Vancouver’s Shaughnessy Heights at fourth place, followed by a part of Kerrisdale at seventh place. Three other neighbourhoods made it to the list, including Kerrisdale, West Vancouver’s West Bay and Sandy Cove, and Shaughnessy Centre.

The list is based on the average household net worth of a neighbourhood’s residents, and the data used was compiled from Statistics Canada and market intelligence. This also means the neighbourhood parameters were also defined by Statistics Canada.

The list only examines the wealthiest neighbourhoods, which also happen to be some of Canada’s oldest areas.
