All Nations Festival

  • What: Today marks the first day of the All Nations Festival, celebrating Coast Salish culture, art, language and identity. The opening party features live musical performances by 2015 Juno Award winner George Leach, and promises to be a proper kick-off to this rich cultural event.
  • Where: Evergreen Cultural Centre – 1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam
  • When: Thursday, July 23; 8 p.m.

Lost Soul of Gastown

  • What: Take a step back into Gastown’s early days of thieves, hustlers, prostitutes, and smugglers with a 90 minute walking tour, featuring locations and stories about what took the neighbourhood from tired trading post to one of the most bustling- and dangerous- areas in the country.
  • Where: Cathedral Square, on the corner of Dunsmuir and Richards Street.
  • When: Thursday, July 23; 8 p.m.

Waterfront Cinema at Canada Place – Mean Girls

  • What: Tina Fey’s classic high school comedy, featuring Lindsay Lohan as a home schooled student attending public school for the first time. Hit Canada Place with your friends, and check out this cult hit under the summer sky.
  • Where: 999 Canada Place
  • When: Thursday, July 23; 9 p.m.

BC DC at the Roxy

  • What: Vancouver-based AC DC tribute act BC DC comes to the Roxy Cabaret, playing the classic hits from the Thunder(struck) Down Under. Rip the sleeves of your t-shirts, and cut the legs off your jeans. It’s the only way to rock.
  • Where: The Roxy Cabaret – 932 Granville Street
  • When: Thursday, July 23; 8 p.m.

East Coast Good Times

  • What: Get a taste of that East Coast charm at Doolin’s Irish Pub. Lobster dinner, kissing cod, Celtic music. It’s all the fun of of a Newfoundland hootenanny with none (or almost none) of the bar brawls.
