Choir! Choir! Choir! at the Vancouver Planetarium

  • What: Choir! Choir! Choir! will be filling the Vancouver Planetarium with music on April 15, with 250 spots per show open for those wishing to join in on Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here or David Bowie’s Space Oddity.

Easter Weekend at McArthurGlen

  • What: Easter weekend at McArthurGlen is packed full of festive fun. Take part in an interactive denim workshop on April 15 with Wen-Chee Liu, assistant designer at Jason Matlo, who will be showcasing insider tips and tricks for denim reform to help get your wardrobe Spring ready. Then hop on over to enjoy Audi Richmond’s VIP event featuring their newest Sport models on April 16. Plus take part in an Egg-cellent Treasure Hunt from April 14 to 18.

VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Great A-Mazing Egg Hunt

Nochella at the Biltmore

Easter Bunny Fest 2017

Vancouver Vaisakhi Parade 2017

  • What: A day that marks the anniversary of one of Sikhism’s most important events, the establishment of Khalsa in 1699. Close to 350,000 people are thought to have attended last year’s Vaisakhi Parade, making it the biggest parade in Vancouver. Parade-goers can enjoy East Indian music, thousands of people in beautiful traditional clothing, and free food including curry lunches, ice cream, and more tasty treats.

Girls Rock Camp Vancouver Fundraiser at Grand Luxe Hall

  • What: Supermoon, Ashley Shadow, BB, Scum Laude and Old Girl team-up for a massive fundraiser. All proceeds will be donated to Girls Rock Camp Vancouver, a non-profit organization that runs a week long summer camp for female identifying youths age 8 to 17.

Recharge 2017

  • What: Recharge is an emerging art showcase and fundraising party where you get to choose which project your money goes towards. Part dance party, part wild science fair, ReCharge helps artists bring life to projects heading to Burning Man and Regional events.

Alice In Wonderland Burlesque

  • What: Celebrating the debut of Vancouver Burlesque at the Red Gate Revue Stage on Granville Island, April O’Peel presents Alice in Wonderland Burlesque. Head down the rabbit hole in this burlesque re-imagining of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale of nonsense and fantasy. The cast of classic characters from the whimsical world of Wonderland bring a magical, imaginative and sexy twist to one of the most beloved stories of all time.

Easter Egg Hunt and Scramble at Fort Langley National Historic Site

  • What: Little bunnies can complete the all-ages scavenger hunt that will take you exploring around the fort and earn treats as they go. At set times, children 5 and under can also participate in the “Egg Scramble,” where they will be divided by age and will find as many eggs as they can on the giant map of British Columbia. Complimentary admission for Canada 150.

Rights and Freedoms March

  • What: Stand up for freedom and human rights at the third annual Rights and Freedoms March in Vancouver this Sunday. The march remembers Canada’s troubling past of residential schools, the Chinese Head Tax, the Komagata Maru and Japanese internment camps. But it also honours the progress Canada has made with the implementation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms on April 17, 1982.

  • What: A free public swim at Brittania Community Services Centre, with Easter treats and games.

On and Off the Road: Canada Line Curator Tour

  • What: Join one of three different tours of the Canada Line Public Art Project: On and Off the Road. The April 16th tour is led by Emily Marston, SFU School for the Contemporary Arts student-curator. Artist Stuart McCall will also be in attendance to speak about his artwork at King Edward Station.

Cypress Mountain Slush Cup 2017

  • What: What better way to celebrate an amazing season of skiing and snowboarding than on Cypress Mountain’s Crazy Raven 2017 Slush Cup patio. The BBQ and fire pits will be stokin’ and the slushies will be flowing as you try your best to cruise over our slush pond. Best Costume, Best Style and Best Pond Skim will take home great prizes including a snowboard or other valuable prizes. So let your creativity shine through and get crazy.

Easter at the Market

  • What: The Easter Bunny and the Easter egg hunt are back at Lonsdale Quay Market. Meet at Easter Headquarters by the Cheshire Cheese Restaurant to discover different vendors on the Retail level while collecting Easter eggs. Each Retail Level store and Olde World Confections will have different coloured eggs, and participants will need to collect one of each to redeem a treat bag filled with goodies (while supplies last).

Training Jam #2: Movement Creation and Composition

  • What: Learn how to build movement through form. Training Jam offers practical tools in movement creation and composition. By working in groups, partners, and solos, attendees will work together to demystify the fear of dance and movement composition and create with abandon. This Training Jam is accessible to all levels of movers and all disciplines.

Easter Parade and Egg Hunt

  • What: The parade of children, the Easter Bunny and Pipe Band starts at 1 pm at the Delta Museum and heads down Delta Street to an Egg Hunt at Memorial Park. Don’t forget to wear your Easter Bonnets and decorate you bike, wagon or stroller!
