One man is in hospital and two others are in custody after a stabbing in South Surrey on Tuesday morning.
According to Surrey RCMP, the incident took place at approximately 8:50 am, when officers responded to a report of a fight involving a weapon in the 900 block of 160 Street.
Upon their arrival, police found one man suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. He was airlifted to hospital where he remains in “serious, but stable condition.”
Police said two suspects initially fled the scene on foot, but were subsequently apprehended by police in the Cloverdale area with assistance from the Integrated Police Dog Services and RCMP Air Services.
While they note that the investigation is still in its early stages, police said they believe this was a targeted incident.
Now, Surrey General Investigations Unit with the assistance of Surrey Serious Crime are continuing to investigate what happened.
