The victim ultimately succumbed to their injuries, and now the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in to help investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.

In the meantime, the victim has been identified as Tanner Krupa, from Edmonton.

“The investigation is in its early stages and it is unknown if the incident was targeted,” says Cpl. Frank Jang of IHIT.

IHIT is working closely with the Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroner’s Service to gather evidence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at [email protected].
