Nov 2 2018, 5:03 am

You know winter is near when it’s cold outside (and probably raining) and all you can think about is comfort food.

There’s no better time to take shelter in one of the city’s coziest spots and enjoy deliciously fresh, locally-made food. Whether you’re on the lookout for a new brunch spot, a vibrant eatery to grab a hearty lunch, or an ambient atmosphere for dinner, you’ll find it in South Granville.

The food scene in this well-appointed Vancouver neighbourhood is off the hook with a diverse lineup of cafes, bistros, and restaurants, that even the most awkward diners (you know a few) will adore. It’s easy to get there as the area is centrally located close to downtown and Granville Island, at the south end of the Granville Bridge.

Here are the best spots for brunch, lunch, and dinner around the South Granville district and our suggestions for some comfy dishes.
