Actor and comedian Judah Friedlander is in Vancouver performing at the first NorthWest Comedy Fest, and, being Valentine’s Day, we got a chance to ask him some questions about love.

Best place to take a girl on a first date?
To her parents house. There’s nothing more important than family.
How long do you wait before you call a girl after a date?
A couple years. It’s not good to rush a relationship.
Besides the usual gifts (flowers, chocolates, jewellery), what can you get a girl to totally surprise her on VDay?
6 cars.
Sex on a first date – a) go for it? b) will she ever get a call back?
a) No sex on first date. Just hold her hands once. Then immediately use hand sanitizer & don’t touch her again.
b) If she calls back, she likes you.
If you only had $10, where would you take a girl?
To the most expensive restaurant. Then after eating, we both run out on the bill without paying. If she has good foot speed, she’s a keeper.
It’s VDay and you forgot to get her something – what do you do?
Change my identity and move to Eastern Europe.
How do you know if she’s the one?
If she tracks you down in Eastern Europe.
What is true love?
When you’re dating a woman & you find out she’s deleted her Tinder account.
What’s the best way to ask a girl out?
With a megaphone outside her apartment. That way it’s public, and she will know you’re not seeing someone else.
What’s the weirdest first date you’ve been on?
Woman took me back to her apartment & she made out with her boyfriend for two hours.
First impression of Vancouver, where would you take a lady on a date?
I’d take her to Macleod’s book store, that way you can see if she knows how to read.
