Yonge-Bloor station evacuated this morning after suitcase thrown on tracks
Earlier this morning, a man threw a suitcase onto the tracks at Yonge-Bloor station.
A suspicious package at Bloor-Yonge Station is the cause of this morning’s service suspension. Police are on scene.

The incident caused trains to be held all ways at Yonge-Bloor and had police call for an evacuation of the station. The resulting crowds at several stations along the line were worrisome:

The event caused a half hour delay between approximately 8:30 am and 9 am while police investigated, before concluding there was no threat to public safety:
