Sep 18 2017, 11:29 pm

Will Joey “Jaws” Chestnut hold on to his Poutine Eating World Record of 25.5 pounds eaten in just 10 minutes? You’ll have to wait until October 14 to find out when the eighth annual Smoke’s Poutinerie World Poutine Eating Championship (#WPEC2017) returns to Yonge-Dundas Square.

Per tradition, marquee events include three eating competitions featuring Professional Major League Eaters, aspiring Amateur Eaters, and a CEO Charity Challenge in support of Friends of We Care.

In addition to the “gravy-fueled French fry frenzy,” spectators can look forward to FREE POUTINE on offer all day long in addition to lumberjack plaid dress code, a tattoo parlor and barber shop, poutine photo booth, Gravy Pong tournaments, Food Trucks Fundraising Derby, and more.
