Drive-through COVID-19 vaccination clinic opens at Canada's Wonderland

Canada’s Wonderland has found a new way to satisfy thrill-seekers during the pandemic — the popular amusement park is now serving as a drive-through COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

The new mass vaccination clinic opened at 1 Canada’s Wonderland Way on Monday, serving York Region residents and people who work in the area.

The amusement park will serve as host to public health staff who will administer the vaccine to 1,600 people per day.

Eligible individuals can book an appointment at Canada’s Wonderland clinic on the health region’s website.

The drive-through format should also help people with mobility restrictions get their shot more easily, the Regional Municipality of York said in a news release.

Canada’s Wonderland plans to re-open to the public on May 14.
