A woman is dead after being struck by a TTC bus at Lawrence West subway station Tuesday evening.
According to police, a pedestrian was struck by a bus at Lawrence Avenue West and Allen Road just after 6 pm.
Police say the woman’s injuries were very serious and paramedics rushed to the scene to save her.

During this time, all traffic in the area was closed, and Line 1 trains and TTC buses were bypassing Lawrence West Station while police investigated the collision.

According to authorities, paramedics tried to revive the woman but she succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. This comes just one week after a TTC bus slammed into a pol at Bathurst and Davenport, injuring 24 people.

The roads were closed for several hours as police investigated, but they have since reopened.
