Woman manages to break free from attempted kidnapping in North York

Police say a woman was able to break free and run away after an attempted kidnapping in North York on Wednesday evening.

According to police, on Wednesday, November 27 at 8:15 pm, a 23-year-old woman was walking in the area of Brookbanks Drive and Valley Woods Road, just east of the Don Valley Parkway.

Police say as the woman was walking, a pick-up truck in the area pulled close to her.

At this time, someone from inside the pick-up truck reached out from the window and grabbed the woman, attempting to pull her into the vehicle.

Luckily the woman was able to break free and run away.

The pick-up truck is described as red in colour and is possibly a Ford or Nissan with tinted windows.
