Toronto's first vegan cheese shop aiming to open in the west end

Toronto could soon welcome its first-ever shop totally dedicated to vegan cheese, and you can help make it happen.
Wandering Deli specializes in nut cheeses and currently runs a cater-style business out of Easy Restaurant’s kitchen in Parkdale.
Recently reaching farmers markets as well, the spot is ready to open a storefront.
And Kira Lancaster and Cailean Lewis, the husband-and-wife-team behind the company, have launched a crowd-funding campaign to make it happen.

According to the campaign site, the family business will be able to take over their production space at Easy Restaurant and turn it into a proper storefront, offered by Easy’s owner given they meet their financial goals.

The site breaks down the costs of this transition, including but not limited to a new front door and new kitchen equipment, which total $9,000. So far, the campaign has reached $2,500 of its $18,500 goal, with 41 backers and 33 days left to pledge.
