Vegan Oktoberfest returns to Toronto this week

Beer, polka, pretzels… just, hold the porky bratwurst, k?
Toronto’s Vegan Oktoberfest is back following its sold-out debut in 2016 for a vegan volksfest presented in partnership between Veg Heads and the Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank.
This year, the event kicks off early with a live polka band and family-friendly portion of the evening followed by beer-chugging and sausage-eating contests, and a late-night dance party.
Tickets are $20 (children under 12 are free) and includes only admission. Meanwhile, tickets for food and drink will be sold on site.
On the menu for the evening: vegan schnitzel and black-eyed pea sausages from Doug McNish along with a Sundae-Cake Bar from Sweets from the Earth and Oat & Mill Sundae-Cake Bar, and soft (gluten-free) pretzels from Dolled Up Desserts served with warm VegHeads cheese sauce.
In addition beers from Great Lakes Brewery expect seasonal Tonica Kombucha cocktails.
Prost!
