Union Station getting Toronto's largest FREE outdoor skating rink this month

Nov 15 2019, 6:18 pm

Toronto’s impressive list of winter activities just got a little bit more festive, thanks to the addition of a massive new outdoor skating rink at Union Station.

This holiday season, for the first time, Union Station’s Sir John A. McDonald Plaza on Front Street will be home to the largest free outdoor skating rink in Toronto, which is approximately half of the size of an NHL ice rink.

The new rink will be open daily (weather permitting), will be completely free of charge, and promises to keep you in a festive mood throughout the busy holiday season.

Whether it’s your first time on ice or you’re a seasoned pro, skating lessons and helmet rentals will both be available for free, courtesy of TD and Union.

In addition to the skating rink, Union Holiday will be the home to free music performances and gift wrapping inside the historic West Wing from December 9 through 24.
