This Toronto inn is hosting a Ukrainian Christmas Buffet
Christmas buffets are in abundance in Toronto this holiday season! Options not only include a Swedish Christmas smörgåsbord, called a Julbord, and a Christmas Day feast on the slopes, but also a traditional Ukrainian Christmas Celebration at the Old Mill Toronto in January.
Taking place on January 8, the historic inn sets a festive scene featuring “glorious Christmas decorations and wood-burning fireplaces,” carollers singing Ukrainian Christmas songs, and a Christmas buffet featuring a selection of traditional Ukrainian Christmas dishes.
On the buffet line, look forward to assorted salads and platters of pickled beets, mushrooms and pickles, buckwheat kasha with noodles, pickled and smoked fish, cold cuts and cheeses, borsch and garlic bread, cabbage rolls, kovbasa with sauerkraut, grilled salmon with tomato dressing, pork patychky, chicken kiev, carved roast beef, turkey, and more!
For dessert, Ukranian cheesecake, poppy rolls, honey cake and an array of sweet endings.
