There's a subway closure on TTC's Line 1 scheduled for this weekend

Feb 26 2020, 6:12 pm

Those planning to travel along Line 1 to navigate the city this weekend better plan ahead, as six subway stations will be closed for track maintenance.

The portion of Line 1 between Finch and Sheppard-Yonge stations will be closed on February 29 and March 1 for scheduled track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run between the three affected stations.

At Finch and Sheppard-Yonge stations, shuttle buses will board and offload in the station bus bays, whereas at North York Centre Station, they will board and offload at Yonge Street.

North York Centre Station will be closed, but Finch and Sheppard-Yonge will remain open for fare sales, access to surface routes and Line 4.

Beyond shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station, and customers can touch-base wit TTC customer service employees for details on service frequency.

For the most up-to-date information on the TTC’s service, keep an eye on the transit system’s Twitter account.
