Weekend TTC closures? No surprise there.
Make sure to plan ahead if you’re looking to hop on Line 1 this weekend, June 8 to 9, as there will be no subway service in a section of the line all day Saturday and different section all day Sunday.
The closures are a result of the TTC continuing installation of the new Automatic Train Control signalling system, revamping an existing system that’s been around since the 50s.

Saturday, June 8
There will be no subway service on Line 1 between Lawrence and Bloor-Yonge stations. This means that trains will not be stopping at Eglinton, Davisville, St. Clair, Summerhill, or Rosedale stations. Summerhill Station will be closed, but all others will be open for fare sales and access to surface routes.
For those travelling southbound who require Wheel-Trans service, make sure to request it at York Mills stations since Lawrence is not yet an accessible station.
Sunday, June 9
There will be no subway service on Line 1 between St. Clair and Union stations. As a result, trains will not be stopping at Summerhill, Rosedale, Bloor-Yonge, Wellesley, College, Dundas, Queen, or King stations. Summerhill and Wellesley stations will be closed, but all others will be open.
The TTC says that shuttle buses will be running during both closures.
