Get ready for more delays on the TTC's Line 1 this weekend

Jan 31 2019, 1:09 am

If you thought the delays on the TTC were bad this week, just wait until the weekend.

This Saturday and Sunday, the TTC has multiple closures scheduled on Line 1 that will likely disrupt travel times.

On Saturday only, Line 1 will be closed between Spadina and Union stations. Sunday until 10 pm, the closure will extend from St Clair West to Union stations.

After 10 pm on Sunday, the closure will extend to include King Station.

Shuttle buses will run throughout the weekend, stopping at stations along the route.

Customers travelling in the downtown core should also consider using the Yonge side of Line 1 and streetcars on College Street (506 Carlton), Queen Street (501 Queen) and King Street (504 A/B King). On 505 Dundas, replacement buses are running.

Museum Station will be closed throughout the entire weekend, while Dupont Station will only be closed on Saturday. All other stations within the closure area will be open for the sale of fares and connection to surface routes.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.

Customers who require an accessible connection on Sunday night are advised to use Queen Station.
