All the TTC closures to prepare for: September 20 to 27

Sep 20 2019, 7:13 pm

No week in Toronto is complete without a few TTC closures.

And over the next few days, there are two partial subway closures on both Line 1 and 2 that you’ll need to prepare for.

According to the TTC, subway service on Line 2 between St George and Broadview stations will start at noon on Sunday, September 22, for beam replacement on the Prince Edward Viaduct.

During this partial closure, shuttle buses will operate and wheel-trans service will be available for customers requiring accessible service.

While Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed, all other stations will be open for the sale of fares and connection to surface routes.

Additionally, the portion of Line 1 between Bloor-Yonge and St Andrew stations will close nightly at 11 pm next Monday through Thursday (September 23-26) for track work.

Regularly scheduled service will resume each following morning at approximately 6 am.

Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station in the closure area and TTC staff will be on hand to help direct customers to the appropriate shuttle locations, which will vary from station to station.

All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes and wheel-trans will be available upon request from any station.

Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
