Another warm weekend ahead, and with it comes another weekend of TTC diversions and closures.
From the 17 to 18, TTC crews will be working on testing the new Automatic Train Control (ATC) signal on Line 1, which means parts of the line will be closed. Line 1 Yonge-University will be closed between St George and Sheppard West stations on Saturday and Sunday.
And because of on-street construction around Eglinton West, St Clair West and Dupont stations, shuttle buses will run between Sheppard West and Lawrence West stations only. To supplement shuttle service and move customers more efficiently to the Yonge St. side of Line 1, the TTC says it is doubling service on nine east-west bus and streetcar routes in the closure area.
Surface routes with extra service are:
-32 Eglinton West
-52 Lawrence West
-84 Sheppard West
-512 St Clair
The TTC is also adding extra subways will be added for the numerous events around Toronto this weekend.
Dupont and Glencairn stations will be closed. All other stations will be open for fare sales and access to surface vehicles.
Regular subway service resumes Monday at 6 am.
Along with the TTC closure, there will be diversions due to events in the city.

Starting Friday, June 16 at 6 pm, College Street will be closed in both directions between Bathurst and Shaw Sts. for the Taste of Little Italy festival. The TTC’s 506 Carlton and 306 Blue Night bus will divert in both directions via College St., Ossington Ave., Dundas and Bathurst Sts. College St. will reopen at 3 am Monday, June 19.
Much Music Video Awards
A series of road closures for the Much Music Video Awards will cause the following TTC routes to divert on Sun., June 18 from 8 am until 3 am Monday, June 19.
